Why Hand Ironing
Hand Ironing produces a smoother, finer result than rotary irons (mangles) and machine presses.
More importantly - there is less damage to your fine linens for two reasons:
- Hand ironing is done at lower temperatues, with much less pressure applied to the fabric.
- A good ironer (ours are Great) takes their time examining each item as they go. Embrodery, buttons and other decorations are ironed around - Not Over.
Your fine linens will get better with age, but only if the fabric is not broken down over time. Hand ironing, instead of machine pressing is the only way to protect your treasured linens.
